Lisa Vanderpump Once Spent $20K on a Dress (And She Seriously Regrets It)

Let's put it this way, you could buy a brand new car with the Real Housewife's fashion splurge.

Lisa Vanderpump Is a True Style Queen

We've all been there: You splurge on those shoes you've been eyeing for awhile or that designer handbag that's screaming your name only to then get a strong case of buyer's remorse as soon as you receive your credit card statement. This is a feeling we know too well, and so does pro-shopper Lisa Vanderpump. That's right, even style queen Lisa has experienced this retail conundrum. However, as you can imagine, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pal's experience is in a category all its own.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

While talking about her spending habits with InStyle, Lisa revealed the one purchase she regrets most, and the price of this item is jaw-dropping. (Try $20,000 worth of regret.) “I bought a ridiculous ball gown from Valentino, and it was a fortune. You could buy a nice car for this dress. It was a black, lace wedding dress. I thought I’d be wearing it and wearing it and wearing it — and I’ve worn it twice. So I think I’ve paid basically $10,000 every time I’ve worn it," Lisa shared. This must be one heck of a dress!

Lisa also revealed another detail that may have added to her buyer's remorse. “You’re not gonna believe it, I don’t even have a credit card. I have a debit card, and it comes out of my account. Because if I had a credit card, I would never pay the bills. I just wouldn’t remember," she shared. Therefore, Lisa saw that large lump sum of $20K leave her checking account instantly.

"Pandora says, ‘With the amount of money you spend, you should have a credit card so you can get points.’ But I like to know where I stand," she explained. Oh, we're sure that Valentino gown alone would've got you plenty of bonus points, Lisa.

Somehow, we don’t feel as bad about our splurges any more.
