These Are the Talented Black Designers Behind the Atlanta Housewives' Reunion Looks
For The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 13 reunion, each lady highlighted a fabulous Black designer in her ensemble.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 13 reunion hasn't aired yet, but it's already proven to be one for the history books. For the highly anticipated sit-down, Cynthia Bailey, Drew Sidora, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, and Porsha Williams broke out some of the sexiest, jaw-dropping gowns and two-piece sets in Real Housewives history. And these glamorous looks were brought to life by a group of extremely talented Black designers.
In the exclusive Bravo Insider clip above, which offers a first look at the reunion, the 'Wives shared all the deets on how their show-stopping reunion 'fits came to be.
Both Cynthia and Drew's stunning reunion gowns were created by Nneka C. Alexander, who is the designer and creative director for Brides by Nona Couture Atelier. "She's the same lady that designed my wedding dress," Cynthia revealed.
Porsha's sparkly dress came courtesy of Esé Azénabor-Grembowsk, owner and head designer for Esé Azénabor. "She's a Black designer, and she made this dress and the dress I wore to [Cynthia's] wedding," Porsha shared.
As for Kandi's head-turning reunion ensemble, she had help from Reco Chapple of House of Chapple. Chapple designed Kandi's dramatic caped skirt, which she paired with a Vex latex corset. (Fun fact: Chapple also designed Kandi's wedding gown, which featured a 12-foot train made of feathers!)
Meanwhile, Kenya kept it in the family. The ATL mom's gleaming feather-detailed gown was created by Linda Stokes of LSODesigns, who also happens to be Kenya's aunt. "She is amazing. She usually does all of my reunion looks," Kenya said.
