Phaedra Parks Details the *Very* Fancy Cafeteria at Her Sons’ Private School
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum spilled the tea on the exquisite lunches the “hefty tuition” at her kids’ institution affords.
Phaedra Parks is not one to mince words. “I hate back-to-school,” the mom of Ayden and Dylan Nida recently told BravoTV.com. “It always gives me some amount of angst, just because you really gotta get into a whole different schedule. My sons need to be at school by eight o’clock. There are no buses, so you have to carpool or pick them up, and so it just really changes your life.”
Despite the hectic switch in her day-to-day, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum can find a bit of relief in not having to pack lunches. That’s because the “very elite private school” her boys attend has a cafeteria to match the “hefty tuition,” Phaedra shared. “It’s just really very gourmet.”
According to The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club cast member, the school’s five chefs prepare exquisite spreads that are stationed at different bars. “They have vegan selections, vegetarian, [pescatarian],” she explained. “Everything is fresh to order.” In fact, the food is elevated enough to satisfy the palate of the best-selling author, funeral director, and entrepreneur herself: “I really like to go there and eat lunch with them.”
Another important back-to-school adjustment is in the wardrobe department, and Phaedra has a different experience with each of her boys there. For Ayden, there’s not much leeway regarding outfit selection. “My eldest son, they have a very strict uniform,” she said. “They have chapel day, where they have to wear the little ties and button-downs and khaki pants.”
With Dylan, it’s another story. “They’re uniform optional, so now he loves to go non-uniform,” she shared. “My youngest son is very much the fashionista... He loves designer. He’s a — what do they call it? — sneaker head. So he’s telling everybody about the latest sneakers, and he collects them... He goes online and he orders all his stuff.”
