Peter Thomas Is Keeping Bar One Open Amid COVID-19 Outbreak
Cynthia Bailey's ex-husband took to Instagram to share that his Miami eatery is open for brunch.
Restaurants across the nation are shutting down temporarily amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. (Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants SUR, Tom Tom, and Villa Blanca, for example, are all closed until at least March 31.) But at the moment, it seems that Cynthia Bailey's ex-husband Peter Thomas is keeping his Miami Beach restaurant open, and serving conch fritters, truffle fries, and "Peter's Favorite Rum Cake" to anyone who's interested.
On March 16, the nightlife mogul took to Instagram to share a picture snapped inside Bar One. Showing off the restaurant's palm-flecked, airy interior, The Real Housewives of Atlanta ex wrote emphatically:"The most beautiful room on Miami Beach [Bar One Miami Beach] YES WE ARE OPEN FOR BRUNCH TODAY."
The restaurant's website announced that its "Jazz in the Garden" weekend programming has been canceled. "But we will still be OPEN and like to reassure our guests that we are following best practices to keep it safe!" the site reads.
