Marlo Hampton has the best outfit for any occasion at the ready. Need to come up with an all-white ensemble for The Real Housewives of Atlanta virtual reunion? She's got just the bold blazer and booty shorts for the event. Want to throw an impromptu late-night sexy dance party? Boom, she's prepared in silk shorts and a crop top. And now that the internet is collectively reminiscing about fashion's biggest night — aka the Met Gala — Marlo, of course, has the perfect ballgown in mind.
For those of us who aren't aware, the Met Gala is held on the first Monday in May and is one of the most glamorous and legendary nights in the fashion industry where celebs, artists, and style stars celebrate The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. The event was cancelled this year due to the global pandemic, but naturally, Marlo isn't going to let social distancing keep her from sharing what would've been the ideal ensemble.
On May 4, Marlo took to Instagram to post a downright regal shot of her wearing a dark violet, strapless ballgown with a sculpted bodice and a full-volume skirt. The glorious House of Chapple dress was paired with a dramatic, slicked back ponytail that was long enough to graze Marlo's knee. Honey, it was a lewk. For the photo, Marlo also rocked a beautifully bronzed makeup look with a coordinating violet smoky eye.
