Kandi Burruss Reveals How She Lost 17 Pounds in 2 Months
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member made a few simple tweaks to her diet — and saw some major results.
Kandi Burruss has plenty of caloric temptation around her. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member has a knack for preparing delicious homemade fare (ask her about her "on-point" sweet-potato pies). And, she happens to own a few local restaurants that churn out everything from steak dinners to deep-fried deviled eggs. But in the last couple of months, the singer has tried to keep her diet clean.
Back in September, Kandi shared that she'd put on 20 pounds. "At the beginning of COVID I was working out and I was in shape, and even then I wanted to lose 10 pounds. But I ended up getting lax and comfortable, and I ended up gaining 20," she wrote then. "So that means I have 30 pounds of which I really would like to lose."
Since then, Kandi has made considerable progress toward her fitness goal. In a recent Instagram post, she wrote: "I stopped eating sweets and bread for 2 months (December & January) & drank only water. No juice, no soda ... Lost about 17 lbs."
