Kandi Burruss Swears By This Beauty Product to Make Her Lips “Pop”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member revealed her go-to products for a stage-ready look.
When Kandi Burruss takes the stage, you know it’s about to be fierce. For such a fabulous occasion, the SWV & XSCAPE: The Queens of R&B singer loves to highlight her best features with top-quality beauty products.
In the video above, Kandi (along with her makeup artist, Tae René) details what’s in her “everything bag” that she “throw[s] in [her] suitcase” when she’s on the go. Included in the makeup mix are some of her favorite products from her personal cosmetics line, Kandi Koated, such as her brand’s BB cream. “It just kind of gets rid of the blemishes a little bit,” The Real Housewives of Atlanta star states in the above video, noting that she wouldn’t necessarily opt for the cream while performing and it’s more of an everyday product.
As for her lips, Kandi swears by a beloved staple from her Kandi Koated collection: the Pretty Powerful Lipstick in the color Fierce ($25).
“I like my lips to pop when I’m onstage,” Kandi says in the video above, pointing out how the luscious plum-colored lipstick with bold undertones provides all the show-stealing vibes. She joked, “I want you to see my lips. I want you to kiss me from afar. Don’t you wanna kiss me?!”
Though the Pretty Powerful product is her go-to for standing out onstage, Kandi has been known to experiment with dramatic and playful lip styles over the years in her everyday life. Back in 2020, we caught up with the Atlanta mom on two separate occasions in April when she tried a dramatic, moody black lipstick and then opted for a completely different vibe in a rosy pink lip lacquer from her line.
The luxurious line of colorful, head-turning makeup products — which Kandi launched online in June 2019 — has numerous bold lip colors to try, including the chocolaty brown Cocoa Kisses ($19), the deep plum Date Night ($19), the sparkly emerald Money Making Monday gloss ($24), and more.
