Kandi Burruss Had the Most Gorgeous Pink 44th Birthday Cake
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member's sweet treat came topped with edible roses.
Kandi Burruss celebrated her 44th birthday with a stunning sweet treat.
On May 17, The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member's pal Rasheeda Buckner-Frost shared a quick snap to her Instagram Story of Kandi blowing out the candles that topped her birthday cake from My Fair Sweets bakery.
On their own Instagram page, the boutique business shared a close-up shot of the incredibly detailed dessert, which had two tiers. The bottom, a pink and white fault-line cake, was splattered with edible gold, while the top was mainly white with edible gold dripping down one side. In addition to the artfully splattered gold, the bottom of the top tier was made to look like it had a gold bedazzled band wrapped around it.
While all of the meticulously-crafted details of the cake were beautiful, the edible pink roses dusted with gold may have been the most eye-catching feature of the celebratory dessert. Luckily, it seems safe to say that this edible floral arrangement went over way better than the jaw-dropping real roses in a similar color scheme that she received on Mother's Day — and ended up melting onto her wood table.
It appears the fault-line cake, a dessert trend that is designed to look like an outer piece of the cake is missing to reveal the interior, was a new process for the bakery. "Trying something new," the business' official Instagram account captioned a photo of the in-progress cake, noting in the comments section: "It came out so cute."
Kandi was clearly pleased with the result of the cake as well. Following the celebrations, she took a moment to praise the bakery in the comments section of the post, writing: "I always love your cakes! Thank you!"
