Cynthia Bailey Opens Up About Her Recent 20-Pound Weight Gain
"The last time I weighed myself, I was 180 pounds," The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom shared.
Earlier this year, Cynthia Bailey had to hunker down in Los Angeles for four months with her now-husband, Mike Hill, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, we got to see The Real Housewives of Atlanta entrepreneur open up about her experience as well as everyone's favorite side-effect from self-quarantine: weight gain.
In the Season 13 premiere of RHOA on December 7, Cynthia Bailey revealed that she gained "20 pounds" while self-isolating in L.A., hence the reason why she opted for some "light" and fresh food options for her lunch with Kandi Burruss and Marlo Hampton. "I'm trying to lose some weight before this wedding, child," she told Kandi during their lunch.
Cynthia added, "The last time I weighed myself, I was 180 pounds. Now, the devil is a lie — ain't no way. I don't fool with my scale no more."
Cynthia isn't the only RHOA lady dealing with some weight changes. In September, Kenya Moore revealed she's proudly embraced her recent weight gain via Instagram. "183 lbs!!! The Quarantine has added 25lbs to my 5’10” frame," she wrote alongside a fierce pic of herself posing in a bright, orange, body-hugging frock. "I don’t mind if you don’t mind," she added, including a hashtag for love the skin you're in.
That same month, Kandi also opened up about putting some pounds on as she embarked on a new fitness plan. "This is my first day back to working out. I've gained 20 pounds since May," she shared on Instagram. "At the beginning of COVID I was working out and I was in shape, and even then I wanted to lose 10 pounds. But I ended up getting lax and comfortable, and I ended up gaining 20. So that means I have 30 pounds of which I really would like to lose. And I just want to better myself overall," she said.
