An Unexpected Pop Star Just Endorsed Yolanda Hadid's Memoir
She was a Sk8er girl — and now she's all about the #RHOBH alum's book release.
Yolanda Hadid's memoir, Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease, is hot off the presses and inside the pages of the book The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum gets candid about everything: her two marriages, her childhood, her life as a model, her love for her kids, as well as her struggles with Lyme disease. It's her openness about her battle with the disease that certainly spoke to singer Avril Lavigne, who co-signed the #proudmommy's memoir with a blurb on the book's jacket.
The book jacket for Yolanda's memoir.
Previously, Yolanda revealed to The Daily Dish how she was there for Avril following the pop star's own Lyme disease diagnosis. "I took Avril under my wing when she first got sick and shared all I know," Yolanda revealed in 2015, shortly after Avril went public with her diagnosis. "I am so proud of her for going public and helping us bring awareness to this debilitating disease."
Avril is not the only celeb stepping up to support Yolanda. Her blurb appears on the book jacket alongside ones written by Dr. Mehmet Oz and fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger. Inside, Yolanda's kids, Gigi, Bella, and Anwar, all contribute forewords to the release (out now). She also dedicates the book to her kids, whom she calls "my shining stars and guiding lights."
