Yolanda Foster's Daughter Lands Coveted Swimsuit Issue Spot
Gigi Hadid is named one of 12 rookies in Sports Illustrated's annual issue.
Yolanda Foster is one proud model mama today. It was just revealed that her daughter Gigi is one of 12 "rookies" making their debut in the 50th anniversary Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
It's no surprise Gigi is following in her mother's footsteps. After all, the 18-year-old, whose father is Yolanda's ex-husband Mohamed Hadid, inherited her mother's height and bone structure. She's already been featured in fashion magazines and a recent ad campaign for Guess but, with her SI swimsuit debut, Gigi joins the ranks of successful models like Elle Macpherson, Tyra Banks and current SI faves Kate Upton and Chrissy Teigen.
Yolanda shared her excitement on Twitter Monday while Gigi thanked everyone for their warm wishes, tweeting, "...thank you to everyone for all your incredible support. I do this all in hopes to make you guys proud..."
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue's 50th anniversary edition will arrive on newsstands Feb. 18.
