Since the Vanderpump Rules cast member entered the Colorado vacation house, sparks have been flying between him and the Below Deck Mediterranean alum. However, the pair has been experiencing some challenges in their housemance due to Katie sharing the same name as Tom’s ex-wife, Katie Maloney. That was until Tom finally gained the courage to kiss his Winter House castmate in Episode 5.

Why Tom Schwartz is driving Katie Flood “f-cking insane”
On Season 3, Episode 6 of Winter House, which aired on November 28, the show resumed right after Katie got mad at Tom for mentioning the issue of her name again. Once calming down, Katie and her longtime friend Malia White snuck off to the bathroom to discuss the matter.
“Tom, this guy is going to drive me goddamned f-cking insane,” Katie said about her complicated situation with her housemate.
Moments later, Tom apologized to Kate for not being able to say her name and they were able to get back on one accord.

Despite their rocky start, Katie and Tom ended the night on a steamy note. While the rest of the Steamboat Springs crew were getting ready for bed, Tom invited Katie to join him in the bathroom for some alone time.
Of course, Katie tagged along for what then turned out to be a long-overdue make-out session. As Tom and Katie continued getting closer to each other, they were soon interrupted by Aesha Scott, who barged into the space as she needed to use the bathroom.
So, how did Tom feel about his hookup ending abruptly? Well, he described it as “embarrassing.”
When it was time for Tom and Katie to reveal what happened in the closed-off room, they shared that they kept it “PG-13.”
Tom said in his interview that "there was no nudity," while Katie mentioned in hers that things got “hot and heavy” between them.

Later in the episode, as Tom prepared to depart the Colorado vacation home to film the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion, Katie expressed her concerns about not wanting Tom to leave her behind.
“I don’t want him to leave,” she shared in her confessional. “I feel like he’s gonna get sucked back in, and it's just going to be too much… there is part of me that feels like he won’t come back, and partly because of me.”
Right before Tom officially left, he kissed the yachtie and said, “Bye, Katie,” to which she responded, “It makes me horny when you say that now.”
As for Tom’s feelings on getting to know Katie, he admitted in a confessional that it has been “therapeutic” forming a bond with her.
