RHOSLC Producers and Andy Cohen Tease "Anything Can Happen" with Monica Garcia: "Love a Comeback"
Andy Cohen said it would be "very cool to find a path forward" for Monica Garcia and her RHOSLC castmates.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 newcomer Monica Garcia shocked her castmates and viewers alike with her involvement in the now-infamous Reality Von Tease Instagram account. Now, everyone has the same question on their minds: What's next?
Additionally, is there any path forward for Monica and Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Lisa Barlow, and Angie Katsanevas?
It may be too soon to tell — after all, the dramatic three-part RHOSLC Season 4 reunion just concluded on January 23. However, in the meantime, a few key players are giving their take on the matter.
RHOSLC Producers Tease What's Next for the Ladies
According to RHOSLC showrunner Lori Gordon and Lisa Shannon, the SVP of programming and development at Shed Media as well as an executive producer, Monica's place in the friend group currently hangs in the balance.
"The whole franchise is based on friends, and people who know each other and circulate in the same circles. And at this time, the women just need a cooling off period," Gordon told Variety on January 23. "And I think it’s too soon — they’ve articulated it. It’s too soon for them to reenter into a friendship, a trusting friendship. Not enough time has passed."
Andy Cohen Speculates on Monica Garcia's Future
Never say never, though. While discussing Monica's future with the RHOSLC ladies, Andy Cohen told Variety, "Who knows? Anything can happen. And I love a comeback. And so it would be very cool to find a path forward for her."
“But Lisa and Lori are right," the Watch What Happens Live host added. "It feels too raw right now.”
In the same interview, Andy reflected on everything that went down at the RHOSLC reunion, which he hosted. "What I love about reunions is it’s like the Housewives’ court of law," he said. "I think if Monica had come out and was able to sway even one of the women back on her side, it might be a different conversation right now.”
Heather Gay's Thoughts on the Monica Garcia Drama
As RHOSLC fans may recall, Heather was the one to uncover the role Monica played in the Reality Von Tease Instagram account. So, when Heather appeared on the January 23 episode of WWHL, Andy naturally asked for her thoughts on Monica's future with her and the other ladies.
Heather's response? "What Monica never got is that it was a show about friendship. And she was not interested in being any of our friends."
