Raquel Leviss Explains Why She Pursued Tom Schwartz After Already Hooking Up with Tom Sandoval
Raquel and Sandoval also revealed why they “couldn’t stop” their affair.
Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss’ affair was certainly a big topic of conversation for the duration of the three-part Vanderpump Rules reunion, but during the latest and final iteration — which aired on June 7 — Raquel’s relationship with a different cast member briefly came into focus.
The cast member in question? Tom Schwartz.
Did Tom Schwartz and Raquel Leviss Make Out After She Hooked Up with Tom Sandoval?
As fans may recall, Schwartz and Raquel shared a steamy kiss in Mexico during Scheana Shay and Brock Davies’ wedding weekend. The makeout session was a big deal at the time because it meant Schwartz had broken his promise with his ex-wife, Katie Maloney, that they would not get involved with anyone in their shared friend group. However, at the reunion, the group was more interested in discussing the kiss as it pertained to the timeline of Raquel and Sandoval’s relationship.
As Katie put it after Schwartz said he “started having a little bit of a thing” with Raquel: “No, she had already f-cked your best friend.”
“You didn’t know that, but she did,” Katie added, before pointing to Sandoval. “And so did he.”
Still, Schwartz tried to argue that he and Raquel “[had] some real chemistry.”
Ariana Madix noted, “Maybe it was residual because she was f-cking your best friend.”
Raquel, for her part, agreed with Schwartz, adding, “I always thought that we had [chemistry].”

Lisa Vanderpump was the one to inquire about Raquel’s motivations, asking her, “How could you be in a situation with Schwartz after you’d slept with Sandoval?”
Responded Raquel, “Because I put a cap on this thing with Sandoval, and Schwartz was someone that I was curious to make out with from the beginning.”
Why Did Raquel Leviss and Tom Sandoval Have an Affair?
Raquel also explained her motivation for pursuing a relationship with Sandoval. “I did it because Tom and I had this connection,” she said. “I felt seen and heard by him.”
She added that the spark between them “was almost impossible to turn away from.” What’s more, “I’ve been a people pleaser my whole life, and I dropped that mentality and only started pleasing myself,” Raquel added.
Most important, she was in love with him. Host Andy Cohen asked if Raquel was still in love with Sandoval, and she nodded.
As for Sandoval, he took a beat to answer the same question, but he ultimately said, “I’m sorry, yes.”
