Bronwyn Unloads on Lisa for Off-Camera “Whispers” About Her & Todd's Finances (EXCLUSIVE)
Bronwyn Newport was not pleased to hear that Lisa Barlow's complaints about flying coach apparently turned into gossip about her and Todd's finances.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast trip to Palm Springs in honor of Bronwyn Newport and Todd Bradley's anniversary ended on a bad note for Lisa Barlow when she learned she was flying coach on her return flight. Bronwyn, however, is not here for her complaints.
The first-time 'Wife made that clear on the subsequent episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City After Show (which you can watch above).
"Let me introduce Lisa to the world in which other people live," Bronwyn began. "I'll tell you this: Lisa has been telling a lot of people behind the scenes — the whispers get back to me — that she and John [Barlow] have more money than Todd and I do [and] that she's put a down payment on a plane of her own. I don't want to drop my big dick on the table because it's not mine, it's my husband's, but Todd is fine."
What's more, "Todd and I routinely fly coach if we have to go somewhere last-minute and there's not another seat."
"If Lisa wanted to, there were plenty of options," Bronwyn continued. "There's a Porsche dealership. She could've gone and bought herself a f-cking car and driven herself home if she had $80,000 to buy a car. She could've got herself a plane for $30,000. She could've paid and stayed at the house another night. There are options for Lisa and her unlimited budget to do whatever she wanted to. On my dime? I put her in coach. If that's the end of our friendship from her perspective, totally fine."
One last thing: "If Lisa's so opposed to coach, why does she put her glam team in coach?" Bronwyn added. "My glam team flies first class."
Why did Bronwyn Newport buy Lisa Barlow a seat in coach?
As Bronwyn explained on the RHOSLC After Show, "There's only so many things I can control, [not] how many seats in first class there are and how many have been bought before I go to purchase tickets."
"I mean, there's so many things I could say," Bronwyn continued. "I took Lisa on a plane. I had a gift for her. I had a gift for her husband. We had a house. I took them to Indy. I had a chef."
Still, "I've heard more about her sitting in coach than the time she spent in coach," she added, making a nod to the short flight between Palm Springs and Salt Lake City. "For a long time, I thought that Lisa and I were equally as boujie, equally as spoiled. I thought it was funny between the two of us."
Lisa Barlow details her experience flying coach
Lisa, for her part, joked on the RHOSLC After Show that sitting in coach made her feel like a "sardine."
"I felt like I couldn't move my arms and my hands," she said. Other qualms included no free drinks and being able to smell the bathroom. "I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I haven't flown coach since college.'" (For what it's worth, her friends agreed they'd never seen her in economy!)
And while the 'Wives had different takes on the situation, one person who thoroughly agreed with Lisa was Mary Cosby. "If you fly down on a private plane, then you should go back on a private plane," she said.
"And that's where you're going to plan the next trip," joked Angie Katsanevas.
Is Bronwyn Newport friends with Lisa Barlow today?
In a separate RHOSLC After Show clip, Bronwyn shared that she thought she and Lisa left things in a "neutral" place after their Palm Springs trip. However, the balance apparently didn't survive much longer.
"I don't know if Lisa has the tools to fix it in a friendship," she said. "Something has gone wrong between Lisa and I since I've been introduced to the group. There was something that I did early on, that I still don't know what it is, that has upset Lisa. And Lisa's a punisher. She punishes people."
"That doesn't feel good," Bronwyn continued. "So, I'm leaving there with almost all the same questions I went to Palm Springs with, which are, 'Are Lisa and I really friends?' 'Can I really count on her?' And I think I'm gaining more and more evidence that the answer to those questions is no. And that makes me really sad."
