Back on Season 1 of Southern Hospitality, Emmy Sharrett started her professional career as a VIP server at Republic Garden & Lounge.

How to Watch

Watch the Season 3 premiere of Southern Hospitality on Thursday, January 2 at 9/8c on Bravo and next day on Peacock.

Fast-forward to Season 2 of the series and Emmy told her boss, Leva Bonaparte, that she wanted to take on more responsibility. As requested, the blonde beauty began doing more work around the nightclub and even filled in for VIP Manager Maddi Reese one night when she was absent.

“I feel like I’ve been doing this position for weeks now,” Emmy said in a confessional of taking over for Maddi. “I think Leva recognizes how much I want this position and how hard I’ve been working for this.”

On Season 2, Episode 9, Emmy's dream of being promoted came true when Leva appointed her as the Assistant General Manager of Republic. “I’m shocked… I mean, it’s a bigger position than what I was asking for,” Emmy told Leva about her new role.

Although Emmy was excited about the promotion, she was soon met with some kickback from her co-workers, Maddi and Joe Bradley, who didn’t think she deserved the higher-ranking title.

Now, on the Season 2 reunion, which aired on February 22, new details were revealed about Emmy’s AGM position — more specifically, that she got demoted from the role.

Is Emmy Sharrett still the Assistant General Manager at Republic?

As it turns out, Emmy is no longer the AGM of Republic. The shocking revelation was outed by Joe at the reunion, and Leva actually didn’t “like that comment at all.” To take ownership of the news, Leva immediately explained why Emmy no longer manages her staff.

“We opened a new space — we asked several employees to go down there to help us with those new spaces,” she told Andy. “Emmy was told, ‘Listen, you’re going to train for AGM, you’re going to train for VIP, and we need you to go down the road to train.”

Leva continued to share that Emmy refused to do so due to feeling “uncomfortable” and “overwhelmed.” In the end, Leva demoted Emmy.

Emmy Sharrett’s reaction to being demoted

When Emmy weighed in on the situation, she clarified that she’s “just a VIP server now.” She went on to tell everyone in the Clubhouse why it was a mutual decision between her and Leva to rescind the AGM job.

“I wasn’t very secure on going down the road to be VIP manager when I thought I was AGM at Republic, and everything just got very confusing to me,” Emmy explained.
