Why Alexis Bellino Broke the Fourth Wall on RHOC: “I’m Done"
Alexis Bellino declared she was "done" after learning she wasn't invited on the RHOC cast trip to London.
With The Real Housewives of Orange County's cast trip to London fast approaching, "keep calm and carry on" has entered the lexicon — for some, at least. Others, like Alexis Bellino, are fine remaining somewhat calm — but carrying on won't do.
During Season 18, Episode 13 of RHOC, Shannon Storms Beador revealed that she was hosting a girls' trip to London, but made it clear that Alexis was not on the invite list. When Alexis heard the news, she got upset ... and the cameras were there to pick up every moment.
After talking through the situation with Jennifer Pedranti and Katie Ginella, who had arrived at Alexis's house for moral support as she got the "you're not invited" text, Alexis broke the fourth wall to declare that she was "done" — as in done filming — and ushered everyone out of her house.
"I love you guys. Thank you for being the horrible communicator of the horrible news," she told the women once they were on her front step. "Bye, girls."
After the door slammed, she headed upstairs to sob in peace.
"I have tried so hard," she said into her microphone while off-camera. "F-ck them."
Why Alexis Bellino tried to offer Shannon Storms Beador an olive branch
Earlier in the episode, Alexis wrote Shannon a card and gifted her a literal olive tree in honor of her 60th birthday, but it wasn't enough to mend the rift between them.
"It's nine weeks too late. I feel like there's been a lot of unkind things done and I have no interest in being friendly with her," Shannon told her friends after receiving the gift. "I hope that you guys understand that there have been a lot of things coming at me recently that could have, in my past, taken me down. But I'm doing everything in my power not to let that happen. But exposing myself to Alexis has not been healthy and I need to create healthy boundaries for myself."
Shannon also revealed that she'd pre-written a text to Alexis: the exact text she'd later send to let her know she wouldn't be joining the group across the pond. Later, Alexis would receive the message while Katie and Jennifer stood by.
"You know what? I've tried it all girls," Alexis said after reading Shannon's words. "Now I'm f-cking done."
