Which Bravolebrity Is Selling Michael Jordan's House?
Find out who the NBA superstar decided to team up with to sell his iconic Chicago pad.
Talk about a slam dunk.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Mauricio Umansky has been chosen by arguably the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan, to list his Chicago estate.
It’s something that Mauricio is understandably pretty excited about. “Oh my god, I’m so honored,” he tells TMZ Sports. “It’s just such a privilege to be hired by the great Michael Jordan and let him give The Agency’s sports entertainment division a chance to sell his house.”
MJ has had trouble selling the 56,000 square foot residence since listing it in 2012, but Mauricio is confident that with his touch the home will be off the market soon. And he has a trick up his sleeve to make it happen—an homage to Jordan’s iconic number 23.
"Theres a lot of things we’re going to be doing. We’ve got a bit of the secret sauce,” he teases. “We are going to throw it into the blender and mix it up and get this house sold. We put the house on the market with a number that adds up to 23, so it’s $14,855,000.”
The compound boasts nine bedrooms, 15 baths, five fireplaces, and of course some special athletic additions. “The basketball court is pretty cool,” Mauricio says. “It’s got the floor, it’s got his number, it’s big. It’s the Jordan mark. It’s the bomb.”
Plus, it's great for a party. "Then there’s a great room that opens up to the pool and to the outdoors, and that room is just one of the best entertainment rooms I’ve ever seen anywhere.”
Mauricio recognizes how special it's going to be for the winning bidder. “The reality is there’s only going to be one lucky person that’s going to have the opportunity to own this estate,” he says. “There’s going to be somebody in the world who’s going to own Michael Jordan’s personal home.”
As for when Mauricio anticipates new tenants in the legendary player’s mansion? “I predict we could have this home sold this summer maybe,” he says.
