Whatever Happened to Kenya Moore's Fan?
She shares the amazing story of her Season 5 reunion accessory—and who has it now.

Each week, we'll be looking into the lives of one of these familiar faces—or, in this case, the unforgettable object. Today, it's Kenya Moore's fan from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
When the stars of RHOA joined Andy Cohen for the Season 5 reunion special in the spring of 2013, drama exploded like fireworks on the Fourth of July. But despite all the insults, shade and side eyes, one small object nearly stole their thunder that day: Kenya Moore's black dragon fan.
Every time she wanted to make a point during the tumultuous reunion, Kenya—who was wrapping up her first season on the show that year—slapped out that old-fashion fan and brandished it like fabulous diva in command of the room.
It turns out Kenya got a little advice from her pal Miss Lawrence on how to unleash her little helper: "Let me tell you something about Kenya: I said, 'Well girl, it's all in the wrist—you have to throw it out there," the Fashion Queens host explained after the reunion show aired. "I said, 'Every time one of them come for you, throw it at them!'"
So where did the fan come from—and whatever happened to the reunion's best accessory? "That fan was actually borrowed from someone who is just a queen, darling," Kenya tells The Dish, noting that the drag performer who gave it to her is also friends with Miss Lawrence. "She is just the most fabulous performer in Atlanta. Her name is Raquel and she performs I think every week.
"She was talking to me and she said, 'You know what, no!' And she popped the fan in my face, and I said, 'Oh, you've got to teach me how to do that!'" Kenya adds. "She has the fan now. I may need to get that fan from her so that I can sell it on eBay!"
