Dorinda Medley Is Working on a Major Project Following Her RHONY Exit
Find out what's next for Dorinda Medley after she announced she would be leaving RHONY.
Following her announcement that she would be leaving The Real Housewives of New York City last week, Dorinda Medley is ready to start a new chapter — literally.
During the recent updates on all of the cast members featured at the end of the RHONY Season 12 finale on September 3, it was revealed that Dorinda is working on a new book. "Known for her advice (solicited or otherwise) Dorinda will make it available to all with her new book, 'Making it Nice, Making it Through,'" the update read. "She won't be wearing Jovani on the cover."
Dorinda announced that she would be exiting RHONY after six seasons on the show in a post on Instagram on August 25. "What a journey this has been. I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice... But all things must come to an end. This was a great outlet for me to heal when my late husband Richard [Medley] passed away. I have met so many interesting people and learned so much about myself, about life and about women along the way," she wrote. "Thank you to Bravo and NBC for the incredible ride and to my cast mates for constant stimulation and entertainment. I wish you all health, happiness and success. Clip! Dorinda."
Several members of the RHONY family, including Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Leah McSweeney, and Bethenny Frankel, as well as Andy Cohen sent their love and support to Dorinda following her announcement.
Dorinda, who has also expressed a desire to publish a Blue Stone Manor cookbook full of "old school" recipes in the past, isn't the only New York Housewife hitting the shelves in the near future. We also saw Luann working on her upcoming memoir this season of RHONY, and she has continued getting that ready for publication in the months since filming on Season 12 wrapped. "Life in quarantine is not a cabaret, so Luann is now focusing on her memoir," an update at the end of the Season 12 finale read.
Dorinda, Luann, and the rest of the RHONY cast will be back to break down Season 12 with Andy at the three-part reunion, which kicks off on Thursday, September 10 at 9/8c. And don't miss a special "Secrets Revealed" episode on Thursday, October 1 at 9/8c featuring never-before-seen footage from Season 12.
