In the video above, Gretchen Rossi's fiancé commented on what Slade does for a living during a 2014 visit to the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Clubhouse, noting he was "very busy working," dabbling in both "radio" and "consulting" at the time. Moreover, in 2018, Gretchen noted on Radio Andy's Jeff Lewis Live that her beau worked in "the security space" and also worked for "an entertainment-based company" that did "large screens in stadiums."

What is Slade Smiley's job today?
Though Slade and Gretchen dabbled in the CBD marketplace in 2019 and kicked off their Knot Too Taboo podcast in 2020, it seems both ventures have quietly dissipated (the last podcast episode was recorded in March 2021).
Per Slade's LinkedIn profile, after a role as the "VP of Marketing" for United Title Company from 1993-2009, he served as the President of Grayson Entertainment, a production company, where he still resides. According to his LinkedIn, Slade "oversee[s] all divisions, from project development, production, Marketing, PR, sales, and integrations" for the company.
Moreover, since May 2024, Slade has also been on contract as the Chief Operating Officer of NOiD, a marketing agency, helping "build brands," per the company's website.
As for his credentials in the entertainment industry, in addition to appearing on RHOC and numerous other reality programs, Slade's IMDb page credits him as an actor in the 2015 series, TMI Hollywood, as well as "Bartholomew Fly" in the 2015 mini series, Texas Rising.
Of course, when Slade's not busy with his various ventures, he's happy at home with Gretchen and their adorable daughter, Skylar.
