Vicki Gunvalson Shares How Kelly Dodd Is Doing Following Divorce News
The #RHOC businesswoman has her friend's back.
Anyone who knows Kelly Dodd can agree that she's a strong-spirited woman. But, divorce is frightening and uncertain for anyone — and Kelly is not immune to the feelings that come along with separating from a longtime partner.
Recently, The Real Housewives of Orange County mom opened up about her decision to part ways with Michael Dodd after 11 years of marriage. Speaking to ET, the Arizona native said: "[The marriage] was not working. I guess everyone has a final straw … it was like, just disagreements all the time.”
Though Kelly and Michael started off Season 12 on a pretty good foot, Kelly hinted that the relationship will take a "hardcore left" before the season wraps. And, she confirmed the couple's plans for divorce in an interview with The Daily Mail just last month.
During the difficult transition, Kelly has at least one ride-or-die buddy by her side. Vicki Gunvalson spoke to Us Weekly at an event earlier this week, revealing that Kelly is "good" despite the turmoil.
"It's not unusual anymore to hear somebody’s getting divorced. It’s more like, ‘I’m so sorry, what can I do for you?’" Vicki told the mag. "I called Kelly and I said, ‘What can I do for you?’ She said, ‘You’re the only person that asked me that."
Vicki went on to say that Kelly is feeling some understandable uncertainty. "She doesn’t know what her life is going to be like, if they follow through with this," Vicki said. "I’m her friend and I want to be there for her. So that’s that. I don’t want to ask any questions. I don’t want to know anything. I just want to be there for her. That’s what friends do."
