Tom Schwartz Posts Photos of His Dogs with Katie: “Children of Divorce”
The Vanderpump Rules cast member shared a recent update on the couple’s dogs following his split from Katie Maloney-Schwartz.
Tom Schwartz is giving the latest glimpse at his and Katie Maloney-Schwartz’s beloved dogs, Butter and Gordo VonFriendenheimer, following the Vanderpump Rules couple’s announcement several months ago that they were separating, with Katie officially filing for divorce.
Amid their relationship struggles and eventual decision to part ways, Katie recently shared that she and Tom had settled on splitting custody of their two dogs on an episode of Dear Media's Relationsh--t with Kamie Crawford podcast, via E! News, saying, “We have some of the same group of friends, and we have dogs that we’re gonna split custody of… [Tom]’s family to me, and I’m always going to love him, so our friendship is very important to both of us.”
Recently, Tom posted a photo of his and Katie’s adorable dogs on his Instagram Story, writing, “Children of divorce.”
Tom previously opened up about their love for Butter and Gordo VonFriendenheimer, and how they formed a bond with them like never before amid the pandemic. “We spend so much great time together,” Tom said in an exclusive interview with Bravo Insider. “Not to mention, gourmet dinner and snacks every day. They were our companions, though, you know, when things were at their worst. They were always there for us. They brought us a lot of joy this year.”
In addition to Tom’s recent look at their dogs amid the couple’s split, Katie also detailed her struggles while ending their marriage during an episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, via People, and offered an update on getting back into the dating scene.
“I like going out, flirting, or like, I’ve been on a date,” Katie mentioned during the interview, adding that she wasn’t “trying to get a boyfriend,” but did find enjoyment in the opportunity to meet new people.
Katie also shared how “sad” and “heartbreaking” her split from Tom was, saying, “It was… it gutted me.” She went on to add that, despite the difficulties of proceeding with divorce, it was something she felt needed to happen. “But I think just leaning in and trusting your gut and listening to that, because it’s about, always about, the relationship with yourself and nurturing that.”
