Now We Know What Really Played the Night of the Infamous Faith Recording on Vanderpump Rules
Ariana Madix recalls the Season 6 party where Brittany Cartwright heard of Jax Taylor's fling with the former SURver.
It feels like a lifetime ago that the world learned about Jax Taylor cheating on Brittany Cartwright with one-time SUR employee, Faith Stowers. It was a Vanderpump Rules indiscretion that put his relationship with Brittany in jeopardy at that time, and even included a recording from the night of his fling with Faith.
Viewers never heard for themselves what was on that recording, which was played at a party attended by their pals, but now we're learning a bit more about that infamous night.
“I think I even threw an empty plastic cup at home at one point,” Ariana Madix reveals in her cocktail book, Fancy AF Cocktails, which she's co-written with Tom Sandoval and Everything Iconic podcast host Danny Pellegrino (via Us Weekly) about the Season 6 moment. “Once I was home, I realized I left my phone at Brittany’s! Around 3:30 a.m., I walked back. I heard the Dixie Chicks and the Moana soundtrack blaring from Brittany’s apartment. Katie and Kristen were singing it out loud with Brittany, while Jax was hiding over at Schwartz’s apartment with Tom. I got to sing out my frustrations with my girls and I found my phone.”
Since that night and the infidelity, Jax and Brittany have certainly mended their relationship and married earlier this year. In the book, Sandoval notes that Jax's now wife was the one who has “broken the curse" of his bad boy ways.
"The two of us met years ago in Miami when we were struggling models. … Neither of us had any money, so we would stay whenever we could. There was one point where Jax and I even shared a twin bed,” he recalls in the book. “Overnight, my apartment became a frat house with the three of us. Vintage Jax would bring home and hook up with random girls. There was only a bed-sheet separating us from them. We would hear a plethora of things told to these girls. … I call this drink the Gentlemen’s Curse because Vintage Jax would say gentleman-like things to these girls, but would be cursed by the worlds he could never live up to.”
Cheers to true love's power to change even the biggest Casanovas.
