What Vanderpump Rules Producers Really Knew About Jax Kicking Sandoval out of the Wedding
The show's producers are revealing everything they know about this shocking wedding drama from Season 8.
The Season 8 drama is finally coming to a head on Vanderpump Rules. In an unexpected turn of events, Jax Taylor fired Tom Sandoval as his best man and basically kicked him out of his wedding to Brittany Cartwright. Tensions began in the beginning of the season and ultimately resulted in one of the biggest friendship blowups we've seen on the show yet.
But as much as we think we know about the situation, the Vanderpump Rules producers know way more. Luckily, the team revealed some behind-the-scenes secrets about the wedding drama in an enhanced episode of the February 25 episode, which aired on March 3.
So, what did the crew really know about Jax kicking Sandoval out of his wedding?
First off, the production team revealed that they hadn't seen the group this divided in a long time. "It was similar to when people were split after Jax and Stassi broke up in Season 1," said producers.
And when it came to who was more stubborn, the crew explained, "That's too close to call."
In the episode, Jax and Sandoval's pivotal conversation became very heated and their body language said it all. "They were both so upset and angry that they wouldn't even face each other," according to producers.
The situation definitely took the production team by surprise. They knew it was a possibility that Jax would kick Sandoval out of the wedding and uninvite him — but they were surprised Jax actually followed through on that threat.
After Jax made his decision, the crew found themselves bit flustered. They had planned on filming a couple of days in L.A. while everyone was in Kentucky for the wedding. However, with Sandoval kicked out, they were worried about how they would film a whole week in L.A. to keep up with him. It's safe to say the situation threw them for a loop.
But what about that long text Sandoval sent to Jax?
Well, the Tom Tom co-owner apparently worked on his apology text to Jax for 15 minutes. Sandoval didn't show anyone the text prior to sending it to Jax. "He went off and sent it on his own," producers explained.
On thing's for sure: The crew's behind-the-scenes perspective of the wedding drama certainly has us seeing things in a whole new light!
