Lala Kent Is Revealing Things “Those Closest to Me Don’t Know” in Her New Memoir
The Vanderpump Rules mom-to-be opened up about finding the courage to share her untold stories.
Although she still has a few months left before she’ll be welcoming her first child with fiancé Randall Emmett, Vanderpump Rules' Lala Kent is introducing the world to her other “baby.” She recently announced that she wrote a book, which details some moments of her life she was initially hesitant to share.
“I wrote a book,” Lala explained in a January 28 Instagram post, revealing the cover of her memoir, Give Them Lala. “I replayed over and over in my mind, every story I wanted to tell. I wondered many times if I was ready to share things even those closest to me don’t know… turns out, I was ready. Ready for the first time ever to truly Give Them Lala. So here it is. My ‘baby.’”
The mama-to-be opened up about the memoir in an interview with PEOPLE, saying, “I’ve learned the importance of sharing the most vulnerable parts of myself with the people I love. Give Them Lala acts as a reminder for me to never play a role and to always be the realest version of myself.”
Before Give Them Lala was the title of her memoir, it was the name of her makeup line, Give Them Lala Beauty. But even before that, it was Lala’s social media handle and her own personal mantra. In a 2017 interview with The Daily Dish, she explained what it truly means to “Give Them Lala,” noting, “Don’t care. Take accountability when you’re wrong. If you mess up, who cares? You didn’t kill anyone. Just be who you are. Whatever you feel good about doing, just do that. Don’t worry about what anybody else is thinking… Give them whoever. Give them Lisa Vanderpump. I love it.”
