Katie Maloney-Schwartz Claps Back at Tom Sandoval for "Belittling" Tom Schwartz
The Vanderpump Rulescast member is standing up for her husband following the drama with Stassi Schroeder.
Katie Maloney-Schwartz isn't happy with how Tom Sandoval has been characterizing his business partnership with her husband, Tom Schwartz.
The Vanderpump Rules cast member took to Twitter to express her frustration over comments Sandoval has made about how much he contributes to the operation of their West Hollywood hotspot Tom Tom. "Sandoval doesn’t oversee valet and scheduling or anything pertaining to what would make or break an event happen or not at Tom Tom," Katie tweeted on January 29. "Not going to sit idly by and let this whole 'protocol' thing be an actual thing. The event was a smashing success!!!"
The subject of the Toms' duties at their bar came up after Stassi planned her book signing at Tom Tom with Schwartz earlier this season. Sandoval wasn't happy that Stassi didn't also include him in the preparation for the event.
Katie also didn't appreciate how Sandoval spoke to Schwartz after their discussion with Stassi. "I did not take kindly to Sandoval belittling my husband the way he did. I grew up in a restaurant and could run circles around Tom and still would never speak to him that way," she tweeted. "It’s called respect for your business partner. And trust. Enough said."
A fan also asked Ariana Madix to weigh in on the Toms' dynamic during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on January 28. The caller wondered why Sandoval acts like he's "more essential to the success of Tom Tom than Schwartz is." "I don't know that he acts that way," Ariana said in response. "I think that they just fill different roles there."
