Tinsley Mortimer Has Adopted 2 New Pups Following Her Dog Bambi's Death
The RHONY socialite traveled to China to rescue her dogs from the Yulin Dog Meat Festival.
On Thursday night's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, Tinsley Mortimer revealed that her dog, Bambi, had been sick with cancer and then passed away. Friends Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan came to her hotel apartment to comfort a distraught Tinsley, who was grieving the loss of her pup.
"He's not just my dog; he's my child," Tinsley said. "He was everything to me."
Following such a terrible loss, Tinsley has fortunately found a beautiful way to honor Bambi's memory: She's adopted two new pups! And she has rescued them from unthinkable conditions in Beijing, China.
In her June 20 Instagram post, she wrote, "Meet my two new little adopted girls! Strawberry&Shortcake[.] Rescues from the horrific dog meat trade in China. I can’t wait to give them a happy and loving home in NYC! Losing my Bambi from cancer was so horribly painful for me and my family. We will never get over such a sudden loss of our little angel dog but being able to rescue these little girls from China fills me with such joy. I can’t wait to be their mommy!!!"
