Heather Dubrow Addresses Report About a Former Patient of Terry Dubrow's Trying to Extort $3 Million
"Extortion WON'T BE TOLERATED," The Real Housewives of Orange County alum and diet expert commented.
Heather Dubrow is standing by her man in the wake of an allegation made by a former patient of her husband, Terry Dubrow. According to Page Six, the patient, who underwent a corrective procedure for Botched that never aired, is demanding $3 million from the plastic surgeon after she was unhappy with the results of the "unique procedure" Terry performed. He stepped in after she had illegal silicone injections removed from her butt that damaged her muscles. And in the wake of the allegations, Heather took to Twitter to defend her husband, sharing, "Extortion WON'T BE TOLERATED! Love you [Dr. Dubrow]! You’re a caring and brilliant doctor!"
Page Six sources explain that the patient had the injections removed by a general surgeon before Terry tried to further address the issue. This patient's story never made it to air because of her alleged non-compliance afterward. The source noted she “decided that she was unwilling to allow [producers] to reveal her [final result], saying that she’s not happy.”
After The Dubrow Diet author's surgical attempts to fix her butt, she reportedly got an infection in the wound that led to her hospitalization after she allegedly didn't follow Terry's orders about how to care for herself following the procedure. That all led to infection issues, which she eventually seemed to recover from.
She later confronted Terry about the issues she faced following the procedure and allegedly then asked for money instead of filing a lawsuit in open court, though she had reportedly signed an arbitration agreement.
In a statement to Page Six, Terry said, “Despite all the problems she may be trying to make for us, we are still here for her in the future if she ever wants to reach out to help her with her continuing problems.”
