Teresa Giudice on How Andy Cohen Was There for Her After Her Dad's Passing
The RHONJ mom opens up about her "special bond" with the WWHL host.
In the months since Teresa Giudice lost her dad, Giacinto Gorga, aka Nonno, she's had Andy Cohen to rely on for support.
"We text each other all the time. And I just lost my dad, and he's been really there for me. He's always been there for me. So I really feel a special bond with him," The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom told The Daily Dish in a recent phone interview about her relationship with the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host.
At the time of Nonno's passing back in April, Andy remembered of Teresa's dad, “He was a sweet patriarch to a wonderful family and a mainstay of RHONJ."
The support is mutual. In the same phone call with The Daily Dish, Teresa called herself one of baby Ben Cohen's "fairy godmothers" in an interview for an oral history about how Andy's 2019 baby shower came together. And she noted that being a part of the planning of the bash meant a lot to her.
"I was so happy to do it and be part of it and I'm so happy for him. And his baby's so beautiful. I'm just so happy for him — I really am. It's, I guess, it's the next chapter in his life," she said. "I'm just so happy that he's finally got — his dream came true. He never told us he wanted to have a baby — I was just so overjoyed for him."
Teresa is a mom to four daughters, so she knows how incredible parenthood is to experience firsthand. "I know how special it is to have a baby. And I think everyone should be able to have a baby. It doesn't matter even if you don't have a partner," she said, noting that next up she's waiting for Andy to meet his romantic match. "I can't wait 'til he finds a partner."
For now, though, she's waiting on a playdate with little Ben. "He's so cute. I wish I could hang out with him more. I would love to spend a day with him, you know?" she said.
Oh, we do.
