Stassi Schroeder Reveals Where She Stands with Kristen Doute Today
The Vanderpump Rules cast member is sharing an update on their "frustrating" fallout.
Stassi Schroeder is opening up about her rocky friendship with Kristen Doute. Things have been tense between the Vanderpump Rules’ Witches of WeHo for quite some time now, with Stassi confirming that she’s “taking a break” from Kristen back in October. Now, the Straight up With Stassi host is sharing an update on their “frustrating” fallout and where they stand now.
As fans have witnessed on the current season of Vanderpump Rules, Stassi and Kristen’s friendship is in a very different place than it used to be. “It’s like we’re not hearing each other,” Stassi recently told Us Weekly of their strained relationship, adding, “Both of us are just like not capable of understanding where the other comes from.”
Stassi also slammed Kristen’s recent suggestion that their relationship statuses (Stassi is engaged to Beau Clark while Kristen is newly single) are to blame for their waning friendship.
“That is the sort of thing that pushes me even further away,” she said. “Because if that were the case, the whole entire time when I was like, ‘Dude, you should totally break up with [Brian] Carter,’ but then I was just going to dump her as a friend because she’s single?”
Acknowledging that the fallout is both “frustrating” and “sad,” Stassi also revealed that she’s waiting to see how their relationship progresses before deciding on whether to invite Kristen to her upcoming wedding.
“We don’t really know right now,” she said when asked if she thinks Kristen, who was noticeably absent from her and Beau’s engagement party, will make the guest list. “I think that we’re trying to figure out our friendship and what it is. I’m not going to invite someone that I’m not even really speaking to or hanging out with, but I’m not not inviting her.”
She went on to explain, “Of course I would want Kristen there, but I think we need to get to a point where it would be normal for her to be there.”
