Whitney Sudler-Smith Opens up About His Dating Life: "It’s Not as Easy as You Think"

Since the inaugural season of Southern Charm, viewers have received a glimpse of Charleston’s beaus and belle’s romantic lives, including the good and the bad parts. In fact, much of Season 9’s drama focused on Austen Kroll’s love triangle with Olivia Flowers and Taylor Ann Green.
Elsewhere, there is still one Southern Charm-er’s love life to remain a mystery — that was until now. On the Season 9 finale of Southern Charm, which aired on January 4, Whitney Sudler-Smith finally provided an update on how he’s doing in the dating world.

Is Whitney Sudler-Smith dating anyone?
While going over the details of his Beyond the Valley of the Dolls-themed soirée, Patricia asked Whitney if he invited any “young ladies” to the event he was interested in.
“No,” Whitney said before telling his mom that he “can’t rush” the process of finding the “right girl.”
Not particularly satisfied with her son’s response, Patricia reminded Whitney that he has to “at least look” for love in order to finally settle down, to which he replied, “It’s not as easy as you think.”
Moments later, Patricia explained why she encourages Whitney to find love sooner rather than later because she often thinks about who would “take care” of him as she matures. Of course, Whitney reassured his mom that she didn’t need to worry by saying, “I’ll be fine.”

During a confessional interview, Patricia elaborated on her wishes to see Whitney start his chapter in life. “I want him to get married now,” she exclaimed. “I mean, I did it after a couple of minutes. I don’t know why he can’t.”
The Grande Dame of Charleston later added: “I want Whitney to have a family. He’s an only child and... it just seems like life is slipping away.”
How old is Whitney Sudler-Smith?
Back in June 2022, Whitney’s mom, Patricia, took to her social media to reveal a fun and surprising fact about her son. He was “born on the same day and year” as Andy Cohen: June 2, 1968. That would make Whitney 56-years-old.
