Naomie Olindo Recalls Finding Out Metul Shah Had Been Cheating on Her
The Southern Charm cast member details her breakup in this first look at the Season 8 premiere.
Naomie Olindo is back on Southern Charm in the upcoming Season 8, premiering with a supersize episode on Thursday, June 23, at 9/8c. But returning to her hometown of Charleston is bittersweet for Naomie, as she explains in the above exclusive first look at the Southern Charm Season 8 premiere.
While catching up with her friend and new Southern Charm cast member Venita Aspen, Naomie opens up about moving to New York City with her then-boyfriend, Metul Shah, prior to Season 8. “I thought I was gonna, like, move to New York and grow,” Naomie tells Venita. “And then the thought of coming back was just depressing.”
Naomie recalls how excited she was to be starting a new life with Metul in the Big Apple. “You know, I had the going-away party. I was like, 'Goodbye, everybody. I’ve outgrown this place. Like, goodbye!’” she says, before adding that she became “real humbled, real quick.”
Just 10 days after moving to New York, “I found out my boyfriend had been cheating on me,” Naomie shares in an interview in the clip. “So I crawled all the way back to Charleston, tail tucked between my legs, and I’m starting over.”
Even though her return may not be under the best circumstances, Naomie’s loved ones are happy she’s back in Charleston, including Venita, who has known her since high school. “It’s nice to have you back, because I feel like you were losing yourself with that kid,” Venita says to Naomie in the sneak peek.
Naomie replies, “I know.”
