Southern Charm chronicled the ups and downs in Craig Conover's journey to become a lawyer, from the challenges he faced before finishing law school to finally taking (and passing!) the bar exam. And in 2021, this esquire took his legal career to the next level by opening the Craig Conover Law Firm.

Now, as he looks toward the future in year two of the firm, the Southern Charm cast member is making some changes. "My goal has [always been to be] able to do as much pro bono as possible. And so, part of our partnership is that we could have a big pro bono section and dedicate a lot of hours to that. And so that’s kind of what I was heading up," Craig said in an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish earlier this month. "But now I think I'm gonna go in a little bit of a new direction. And I think I'm going to bring on two different partners that I went to law school with and that I actually was in the same fraternity with in college, and become more of a boutique law firm."

The firm launched with "some really incredible partners" that handled its day-to-day operations, according to Craig, but now the plan is to shift focus. "At first we were kind of going for volume and trying to help everyone. Now I think we're gonna be a little more selective with, you know, being able to put more time and resources into our more specific cases," he explained. "So we're in kind of a time of transition right now. But I'm excited to see where it goes."

As far as the kind of cases the law firm hopes to take on in the future, Craig said that's something he and his partners are still exploring. "At this point we're just kind of trying to figure it out," he said. "We're still in the beginning stages of kind of redesigning the firm."

Of course, this is far from the only thing Craig has going on these days. He spoke to The Daily Dish shortly after the release of his book, Pillow Talk: What's Wrong with My Sewing? earlier this spring. Craig has also been touring the country with his friend and podcast co-host Austen Kroll for their Pillows and Beer Live shows, as well as launching new pillow designs for Sewing Down South. Oh, and that's all on top of getting his Charleston home ready for girlfriend Paige DeSorbo to temporarily move into this May and June.

Though some might find it a little overwhelming to have a plate this full, Craig said he's most at peace when he has a lot going on. "Well, the structure is what helps me," he shared. "You know, the busier I am, the healthier I am."
