Early on in the July 7 episode of Southern Charm, Madison LeCroy revealed some major news: “I’m in love.”

How to Watch

Watch Southern Charm on Bravo Thursday, December 5 at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

As Madison caught up with Venita Aspen, she shared that she just may have found the man of her dreams in her new boyfriend, Brett. “Little did I know that I’d ever find anyone that made me, like, want to be a better person,” Madison gushed about her new love.

Madison then opened up about her and Brett’s cutest of meet-cutes in an interview during the episode. “I was out in Scottsdale at a bachelorette party. We made eye contact, and I fell in love instantly,” she shared. “I definitely think Brett could be the one.”

Madison announced her engagement to Brett during an Amazon Live back in October 2021. Prior to her official announcement, Madison teased that she had some “big news” to share during the broadcast.

When Craig Conover arrived at Shep Rose’s barbecue later in Thursday night’s episode of Southern Charm, he learned that Madison would be announcing her engagement to Brett during her Amazon Live that afternoon. However, Madison’s ex, Austen Kroll, seemed to be unaware that she would be dropping this huge news. “I think he’ll be indifferent, but deep down freaked out,” Shep predicted, while John Pringle said he thought Austen wouldn’t “give a s--t at all.”

But Craig said he thought Austen would take it hard. “He might cry and walk out,” Craig shared. “I kinda think he’s in denial, and he always thinks they’ll get back together, but hopefully I’m wrong.”

When 2 o’clock rolled around, Craig pulled up Madison’s Amazon Live on his phone, and the guys watched together as she announced her engagement to Brett. A fan asked Madison if any of her exes had congratulated her yet. “Well, the ex that means the most to me is, obviously, my son’s father,” she said. “And he was so happy for us, and that is the only person, as far as the ex goes, that meant anything to me.”

Austen reacted to Madison’s comments in an interview in the episode. “Everything that she does is a subtle little jab at me. That’s, like, her whole thing,” he said. “I mean, as if I needed any more reason to, like, not have her in my life, right?”

Though Austen made it seem as if he didn’t care about Madison’s engagement, Craig shared in an interview during the episode that perhaps his friend has more feelings about it than he’s letting on. “For a long time, Madison and Austen thought they would end up together, no matter what they put each other through,” Craig said. “And I think Austen’s starting to realize that chapter is closed.”

Speaking of relationships, Austen and Craig’s friendship also started off in a rocky place at the beginning of the episode. See what we mean in the clip below.
