Shannon and Tamra Open Up About Their Friendship Drama Amid “Falsehoods”
In a first look at the Season 17 RHOC premiere, we’re getting new insight into the friendship breakdown between Shannon Storms Beador and Tamra Judge.
For years, Shannon Storms Beador and Tamra Judge were amigas. They shared their friendship with the world over several seasons of The Real Housewives of Orange County. But things didn’t remain that way for the pair after Tamra exited RHOC back in early 2020.
And in a first look at the Season 17 premiere of RHOC, the two women are sharing some insight into what happened between them.
Shannon Explains Her Drama with Tamra
While out with Emily Simpson, who is experiencing her own drama with Tamra in the clip, Shannon notes that “she’ll go below the belt, and there’s a lot of stuff that she said about me that isn’t inaccurate. She was my best friend for six years.”
Shannon notes that after Tamra left RHOC, their relationship changed. In an interview in the preview clip, Shannon reflects on that time:
“Tamra and I have a long history of really going deep with each other. I mean, I witnessed Tamra getting baptized. She helped me officially take my wedding ring off. I gave her an enema. I traveled with her. I have never laughed more with a person in my life,” Shannon shares. “And to all of a sudden have that cut off was devastating to me, because I really was there for her as a friend.”
Tamra Reacts to the Shannon Drama
From there, Shannon — who knows that Tamra being back in the group this season means they’ll have to come face-to-face — goes into detail with Emily about what happened as their friendship began to fracture, including that she alleges her onetime BFF shared “falsehoods” about her and it “crushed” her.

What Else Do We Know About Shannon and Tamra’s Drama?
In an interview with BravoTV.com, Shannon opened up more about her break with Tamra, sharing at the time, “I haven’t spoken to her for 2.5 years and there’s been a lot of hurt.” She then went into more detail about their ups and downs in the video.
Tamra’s Return to RHOC
Fans first met Tamra when she joined the RHOC cast back in Season 3, and over time watched her evolve as her personal life changed following a divorce and after she eventually remarried, finding love again with husband Eddie Judge. She has also documented her life as a mom and businesswoman, and everything that comes with that, during her time on the show.
After more than a decade of drama and antics on RHOC, she stepped away following Season 14. “It’s been a wild 12 years,” Tamra shared at the time of her exit in January 2020. “But it’s time for me to move on. I’m sad to go but I’m very excited about my future.”
In July 2022, it was confirmed that Tamra would return for the upcoming Season 17 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, which premieres on June 7. We guess we’ll have to see what happens between her and Shannon this season!
