Mercedes “MJ” Javid Shares That Reza Farahan Has Finally Met Shams
Reza’s tension with Shahs of Sunset husband Tommy Feight had been a sad roadblock to his meeting MJ’s son.
Though Mercedes “MJ” Javid and Reza Farahan were able to repair their friendship on Shahs of Sunset Season 9, one devastating obstacle remained following the August 2021 finale. As fans will remember, MJ’s husband, Tommy Feight, never got to a place where he could allow Reza to meet their son, Shams, who is now 3 years old.
More than a year later, Shahs of Sunset fans were begging for an update at BravoCon 2022, and for those who couldn’t attend the New York City event, MJ also shared her answer via Instagram. “Many of you asked if Shams has met [Reza],” she wrote on October 11, sharing a throwback photo of the duo at Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi’s son Elijah’s 2nd birthday party in April 2022.
“Pictured here is Shams [in] a sugar induced state when they first met,” MJ captioned the post, explaining that she unsuccessfully spent an hour looking for “the” photo but came up short. Still, she’s determined to recover the image from “that darn” iCloud and also sent love to GG and Reza ”for this memorable day.”
And no, she’s not going to give up: MJ commented on her own IG post, “All I can say is that [Apple iCloud] better help me restore the pics they stole!”
Reza, for his part, also jumped into her IG comments to share his own happy memories from when he finally met Shams.
“Love you Merce and what a glorious day it was. It felt so great and so right!” he commented, also thanking GG for hosting them. “I have to say that I couldn’t have planned a better meet cute. How he came into my arms with his candy-coated fingers was perfection.”
Meanwhile, some of MJ and Reza’s fellow Bravolebs, including The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Heather Gay and The Real Housewives of Miami’s Marysol Patton, also shared their reactions in the comments. “Baby Shams is so handsome,” Marysol wrote, adding that he “looks just like his grandpa.”
Though MJ didn’t directly offer an update on the state of Reza and Tommy’s relationship, a fan asked her in July 2021 what it would take for her husband to allow the meeting. “To say what would it take from Tommy is definitely a question that only Tommy can answer,” MJ explained during a visit to the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Clubhouse. “But every day, our relationships are getting stronger and moving forward in a better direction, so I’m really hopeful. This is what prayer is for.”
And now it seems those prayers were finally answered.
