Scheana Shay's Last Conversation with Mike Shay Before the Reunion Did Not Go Well

Scheana Shay is set to reunite with ex Mike Shay in Part 3 of this season's Vanderpump Rules reunion. And from the looks of the sneak peek of the episode, it might just be the most emotional moment of the reunion, if not the entire season.

Scheana recently revealed to The Daily Dish that things between she and Shay had gotten much worse since we last saw their heartbreaking discussion about ending their marriage in this season's Vanderpump Rules finale. "We hadn't spoken for about a month-and-a-half before [the reunion], and it wasn't an amicable last conversation we had," Scheana said. 

The SURver explained that Stassi Schroeder had tweeted something prior to the reunion after Scheana gave her blessing that angered Shay, which she later quote tweeted and then responded to. "I just wasn't in a good place at the time, and I just didn't care. And I felt like, 'Well, you hurt me, and now I'm gonna hurt you.' Sometimes I operate that way, and it's not a good quality of mine, but I was very hurt," Scheana said. "So [Shay] saw that and had screenshot it and sent it to me and basically said, 'Eff you. Don't ever contact me again.' And I was like, 'OK.' I responded and just said, 'Thank you for hurting me as much as you possibly could. And best of luck to you. I hope you get help. I know everything.' And I kind of just left it at that."

Scheana actually thought it wouldn't be too difficult to come face-to-face with Shay at the reunion. "And then right when they talked about like, 'After this break, Mike Shay will be here,' I was like, 'Oh my God.' I had a full-blown panic attack. I was like, I need a shot or I need something. I was just freaking out, and I didn't think I was going to be so emotional. But it was just everything coming back at once, and it was really difficult," she said. "And then I see him and he's sitting right in front of me, and he looked so different. Like, his shoulders were really buff and he had his ears pierced and his hair was different. I was just like, 'Who are you?'" 

Luckily, Scheana had the help of Jax Taylor and James Kennedy in alleviating her stress with their shenanigans earlier in the day while sitting next to each other. "James and Jax were the funniest part of the whole day. Like, every time I would start to have a little bit of an anxiety attack, they would just make me laugh and then they high fived, and I'm like, 'What is going on here?' And then James crawling on the floor. It was just so comical," Scheana explained. "It was the comic relief I needed that day because I knew Shay wasn't until the end of the day. So all day at lunch and everything, it's just in the back of my mind. And then that day, I burned my hand at lunch. So then I'm dealing with being in physical pain on top of emotional pain. It was just a very difficult day for me, but the comic relief helped a lot." 

Though her reunion with Shay was an uncomfortable one, Scheana said that the experience is helping her move on. "It was weird, but I think that day did bring some closure to me, at least," she said.
