Scheana Shay Reveals If She's Friends with Both Katie and Tom Schwartz After Their Split
Something About Her co-owner Katie Maloney opened up about hitting a "turning point" with Scheana Shay.
As two Vanderpump Rules O.G. cast members, Scheana Shay and Katie Maloney have been through many ups and downs in their friendship since the show first debuted in 2013.
Over the years, viewers have watched the two get into various disagreements before making up, and the ladies were not in the best place when Season 10 began airing in 2023.
At the time Katie and Scheana clashed because the latter cast member remained friends with Katie's ex, Tom Schwartz, following their divorce. However, Scheana and Katie rallied together when their mutual pal, Ariana Madix, went through her breakup with Tom Sandoval in March 2023.
Fast-forward to Season 11, and Katie and Scheana have put effort into maintaining their friendship. On Season 11, Episode 3 (which aired on February 13), Katie discussed the evolution of her friendship with Scheana and why the two have recently hit a "turning point" in their relationship. Plus, during a recent exclusive chat with The Daily Dish, Scheana opened up about reconnecting with the Something About Her co-owner.

Katie Maloney Opens Up About Being "Committed" to Her Friendship with Scheana Shay
While visiting Ariana's home to get an IV drip, Katie talked about repairing her friendship with Scheana.
"I feel like Scheana and I are at a real turning point," Katie explained in an interview on the episode. "We're both really committed to working on our friendship. I finally feel like we're able to communicate — the lights are on [and] someone's finally home."
However, Katie is still concerned because she believes that Scheana could try to maintain a close friendship with Schwartz in the future.
"That's what makes me nervous to be close too, as well, because it's, like, going to bring energy around that I don't want," she told Ariana on the episode.
Later on in the episode, Scheana and Katie went out for dinner.
"Katie and I used to be so close," Scheana said about their bond in an interview on the episode. "I feel like we both, genuinely, want to make it work this time around, so spending more time one-on-one is first on the list."
At their dinner, Scheana apologized to Katie for inviting Schwartz to Emo Night.
"I'm so happy with where you and I are at. I don't want to have you ever be uncomfortable because of him being there," Scheana told her friend.
Katie accepted her apology, adding, "It's not about me. I'm thinking more for your own [sake]."

Viewers will have to keep tuning in to Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules to find out whether Scheana can remain friendly with both Katie and Schwartz (especially in light of the fact that the ex-spouses will get involved in a love triangle with Scheana's babysitter, Tori Keeth). But, when Scheana caught up with The Daily Dish in February 2024, she confirmed that she's on positive terms with both parties today.
"I'm great with them," she said. "Yeah, I just saw Schwartz at Tom Tom the other day. I was just with Katie at her birthday dinner and they're great."
