You Won't Believe What Mia Thornton Just Shared About Husband, Gordon

The RHOP mom celebrated her husband Gordon's 70th birthday as well as some big milestones for her kids.

By Brad Witter

The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Mia Thornton gave her husband, Gordon, the royal treatment on his 70th birthday. Asking her Instagram followers to “take a moment and celebrate this King” on September 11, she chronicled the day of fun they had while visiting their home state of North Carolina.

First, Mia shared two photos of Gordon happily posing next to a “Happy Birthday” balloon while also holding a bottle of tequila. “He makes 70 look so darn good,” she wrote, joking, “I don’t post him enough because I want to keep him to myself.”

After wishing her “love” a happy birthday, Mia added that it felt “good to be home… celebrating life with the fam.” Among the hashtags she included were “no place like home,” “hanging with the grandkids,” and “birthday behavior.”

Fellow Housewives across multiple franchises also hopped in the comments to send Gordon warm birthday wishes, including RHOP’s Robyn Dixon, The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Porsha Williams, and The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Margaret Josephs, who wrote, “Happy Birthday to your handsome King!”

Meanwhile, in her Instagram Stories, Mia also shared photos and videos from a family outing to the Carolina Panthers NFL game the same day. Fully decked out in Panthers gear, the Thornton crew sat in a private suite and posed for plenty of pictures as they celebrated Gordon’s special day.

The patriarch’s 70th birthday hasn't been the only big milestone in the Thornton household lately. On August 30, the RHOP mom shared several photos of daughter Juliana’s first day of school. “And just like that…Baby Girl is headed to Kindergarten!” Mia captioned the post. “Safe to say, I had a harder time than she did this morning.”

Luckily, Juliana had big brothers Joshua and Jeremiah there with her — even if they weren’t so on board with their mom’s weepy photo shoot. “The boys are over it,” Mia joked, adding smirking and grinning face emojis.

And don't forget that the new season of RHOP kicks off on Bravo on Sunday, October 9, at 8/7c with a 75-minute supersize premiere (!!) and we have a juicy first look at the drama and unexpected familiar faces dropping by this season, above.
