Candiace Dillard Bassett Posts a Sweet Homage to Husband Chris: “You Are My Home”
Plus, The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member reveals what’s next in their plans to start a family.
In case anyone’s wondering how Candiace Dillard Bassett feels about her husband, Chris, her recent Instagram post should clear things up. On March 1, The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member shared a photo of herself and her love on his birthday and penned a heartfelt note that called him her “home.”
In its entirety, Candiace’s sweet message for Chris read: “My FAVORITE person! My heart. You are my home wherever we are. I love you to infinity and beyond! Happy Birthday, Swan!!!” In a slideshow, the “Fine Whine” singer included snapshots of fun moments the couple has shared, including beach days, wedding dates, and casual times spent chilling on the couch.
During a recent Q&A with fans, Candiace opened up about her favorite things to do with her boo. “Chris and I love to just sit around,” she said. “He will cook something and pour me a glass of wine or a glass of bourbon, and we will just sit around and eat and drink and laugh and play music and put our phones [away] and just enjoy one another.”
But it’s not all sitting around. “We actually love to chase each other around the house,” Candiace added. “[We] start running and I’ll just chase him and we’ll do that for 20 minutes, 30 minutes. Just running around the house, just playing tag like we’re kids… We enjoy each other’s company. We just like to be around each other.”
The couple hopes to expand their family soon. Candiace has been open about her journey with IVF and provided an update on Part 1 of the Season 7 reunion. (In case you missed it, you can catch up here.)
“We were able to go through with a successful egg retrieval, and we have six embryos,” Candiace shared at the reunion.
Back in November, Candiace answered a fan’s question about how many kids she would like. “I’m gonna try one and see how I like it and then we’ll try for more,” she joked. “But no, seriously, I would love to just have two. I would love a boy and a girl, and that will complete our family,” she said.
