Sai & Erin's RHONY Cheesegate is Now a $35 Charcuterie Board: "You Eat Cheese?"

In March 2024, Bravo announced that The Real Housewives of New York City would be returning for Season 15. Cast members Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield will return for another slice of the Big Apple. Speaking of food, Bravo had to commemorate the Season 14 feud deliciously with the one and only RHONY cheesegate cutting board.

Because what goes with well with apples? Cheesegate. Oops. We just meant cheese. Whether "cheesegate" returns for a second helping is anyone's guess, but it's perfect for serving up "char-coochie" (as Sai calls it) to your guests at your next get-together — perhaps even at afternoon tea.

If it's been a while since you watched RHONY Season 14, Episode 1 we'll catch you up to speed. What came to be known as "cheesegate" happened through an accidental game of telephone between the 'Wives. Per Brynn, Erin didn't understand Sai turning down a charcuterie board she laid out at a gathering. "Is charcuterie not cool or chic?" the real estate agent reportedly asked her.

Sai De Silva of The Real Housewives of New York City dishes on whether she thinks cheese is "weird."

Later, Brynn relayed the conversation with Erin to Sai, who brushed it aside as silly gossip. "Did I not have a mouth full of cheese and champagne?" Sai asked Brynn, going on to add, "I remember eating the cheese more than anyone else!"

In a camera confessional, Sai shared that in her opinion, saying "that's weird" to Erin in regards to the charcuterie would have been weird to do. But that didn't stop tension from building.

In Season 14, Episode 2, Sai, Ubah, and Jessel were headed to Erin's Sag Harbor home as part of a girl's getaway. The heard-it-through-the-grapevine moment came up again, to which Ubah admitted "I don't eat cheese."

"It's you, b-tch!" Sai, said, laughing, "You're the one who doesn't eat the cheese."

"All this time, we've been pinpointing Sai," Jessel joked, "Damn it, Ubah!"

Fortunately, Erin had hired caterers to avoid more dairy-related discourse. Yet, the aroma of cheesegate lingered. By Season 14, Episode 4, Ubah deadpanned "These girls are fighting over cheese," in her camera confessional, and the confusion became a reference point throughout the season and into the reunion episodes.

It was a minor misunderstanding, but majorly hilarious.
