Teresa Giudice has left the building. After performing a jive to “All Shook Up” for Elvis Presley night, The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars Season 31 during the Monday, September 26, episode.

Teresa scored 23 out of 40 points, landing her and pro partner Pasha Pashkov in the bottom two for the second week in a row, but the judges were split on whether to send her or Charlie’s Angels icon Cheryl Ladd home. Though Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough voted to keep the RHONJ mom, Carrie Ann Inaba and Len Goodman chose to save Cheryl. Because Len is the head judge, his vote ultimately broke the tie.

“I don’t think Len liked me really so much,” Teresa told reporters after her elimination. “I knew Len was not going to pick me. I knew he was going to pick Cheryl over me. I knew already… I had a feeling.”

Regardless, she called her time on the show “an amazing experience” that she will look back on fondly. “Finally, my dream came true. I’ve always wanted to dance,” Teresa added. “I did two dances in front of a live audience, and it was pretty amazing. It was great.”

How to Watch

Though her Week 2 exit was disappointing, Teresa’s return to New Jersey will give her a chance to enjoy married life with her husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, whom she wed in August. Just one month into their marriage, she flew to Los Angeles to begin DWTS rehearsals, causing her to feel like she “left” Louie behind in the Garden State.

“I felt really bad, so at least now I get to go home and spend time with my husband, ’cause I am a newlywed,” she added.

As for which fellow Housewife she’d nominate to compete next on the ABC reality competition series, Teresa chose her RHONJ castmate Jennifer Aydin, who supported her in the DWTS ballroom. She also planned to invite The Real Housewives of Atlantas Cynthia Bailey to watch her perform next week. “Too late now,” Teresa quipped.

Appearing on Good Morning America the following day, Teresa revealed how her daughters — Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana — reacted to her elimination. “They’re like, ‘Mommy, you did so well. You shouldn’t be going home,’” Teresa said, adding that her girls are “so proud” of her.

Finally, she also addressed the iconic RHONJ Season 1 table flip she re-created during her DWTS debut. “At least now I got to do it with a smile on my face,” joked Teresa, who vowed to continue taking dance lessons in New Jersey. “So, I was happy about that.”
