Find Out Why the RHOM Cast Was Battling It Out on the Hardwood
See which of the RHOM cast members walked away with the win.
The Real Housewives of Miami ladies traded in their stilettos and designer threads for sneakers and basketball jerseys.
Earlier this week, the cast participated in the Wooshi World Celebrity Basketball Classic, a charity sports event presented by Larsa Pippen and her boyfriend, Marcus Jordan, the son of NBA Hall-of-Famer Michael Jordan. The event took place on May 3 at the FLA Arena in Sunrise, Florida, where the Miami ’Wives were split into two teams and went head-to-head on the court. One side included Larsa, Lisa Hochstein, Nicole Martin, Guerdy Abraira, and Alexia Nepola, while the other featured Julia Lemigova alongside friends Marysol Patton, Adriana de Moura, and Kiki Barth.
“I feel great,” Larsa told 7 News Miami in a red-carpet interview at the event. “I feel like I’m super excited. I’m really looking forward to see my girlfriends play basketball.”
Larsa’s castmates shared her enthusiasm.
“I have my Jordans on,” Alexia said. “I came to play.”
“I just came to slay,” Guerdy added.
Marysol admitted her hoops skills were quite limited and asked Nicole if she had ever been on a professional basketball court.
“As a cheerleader, not as a basketball player,” the anesthesiologist said.
Despite their inexperience, the RHOM cast appeared to enjoy the friendly competition. Lisa posted a series of photos and videos from the event, including one in which she highlighted her small stature and bragged about her performance.
“I’m the tiniest baller here. Can you spot me?” she wrote in an Instagram story, followed by crying laughing emojis. “Still killed it though.”
Alexia also took to Instagram to document the event, which just so happened to fall on her special day. One of the pictures captured her in the locker room with a beautiful “surprise” birthday cake, while another showed The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip mom in the stands with her sons.
“Momma’s boys,” she captioned the story.
So which side ultimately walked away with the win? It was team Larsa, Nicole, Guerdy, Alexia, and Lisa, who were led by coach Marcus.
“And the winner is … US,” Lisa captioned an Instagram that showed her teammates alongside entrepreneur Derik Fay. “Great game ladies!”
According to 7 News Miami, the event benefitted the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida and was co-hosted by Celebrity Sports Entertainment, The Money Team, and DJ Irie.
