Tamra Judge Answers Questions About Her Recent Surgery (and Eddie’s Heart Condition)
The RHOC cast member opened up about her hernia surgery and shared where Eddie stands in his health today.
Tamra Judge is here to spill the, well, t(ea) about her recent surgery. The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member opened up about her recent abdominal surgery and answered all the questions you may have about her recent health journey on her Instagram Stories and her podcast.
After taking time away from the show she co-hosts with Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, Tamra opened up more about the surgery on her Two T’s in a Pod podcast. “It bothered me, but it never really bothered me,” she said of not having a belly button after an emergency surgery for an incarcerated hernia a decade ago, which she said was performed by a trauma surgeon. When she met with a doctor who agreed to do revision surgery to fix her belly button, she learned she had another hernia. She noted this recent surgery was part “repair work” and also part “tummy tuck,” but she’s thankful she had it done because it meant she was able to have the new hernia fixed.
In addition to speaking about her recent surgery on her podcast, Tamra also shared more details about her condition in a Q&A on her Instagram Stories. She shared that the surgery was “brutal” and that she is “getting better every day.” She noted that the hernia could have been caused by a number of reasons. And while she had a hernia removed in the surgery, it’s clear her humor remains intact as she did reveal a jokey reason for how she could have ended up with that second hernia.
In addition to updating fans on her own health journey, she also revealed what’s next for her husband, Eddie Judge, who was diagnosed with the heart condition A-fib several years ago and has been open with RHOC fans about his progress along the way. She noted that Eddie, who has been by her side during her recovery, “feels great,” adding that “he goes in next week for a TEE and we will know a lot more then, like if he needs the Watchman or another ablation.”
You can hear more from Tamra about Eddie’s health in a throwback interview with The Daily Dish, below.
