Meghan King Gets Candid About Her Recent First Hookup with a Woman and Shares a Love Life Update
The RHOC alum shared why her recent connection with a woman was the “most inspirational relationship” she’s ever been in.
Before 2023 began, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King vowed that she would be “living authentically” in the new year, and she’s certainly keeping that promise.
On the January 9 episode of her podcast, Intimate Knowledge, Meghan opened up about her recent breakup with a mystery man (who she referred to as “Kenny” on the podcast) and how it made her want to just “have fun” in her dating life.
She decided to change the settings on a dating app to include male and female potential matches, and she ended up swiping right on a “beautiful” woman. The pair met up in New York City at the Yale Club for a weekend while Meghan was in town for the Jingle Ball concert.
The duo took their connection to the next level on their first night together, which was Meghan’s “first woman, female experience.”
Though Meghan had “fun” with her date, she wound up going out with a male “public figure” that same weekend. She ultimately realized she wasn’t interested in pursuing any more relationships or hookups with women.
“I don’t identify as bi, and I had never, ever had an experience with a woman outside of a threesome, and that had been many years,” she explained, before adding that she recognized she “cannot be in a monogamous relationship with a woman ever, ever, ever.”
“This is about living authentically… I do identify as straight, and I do continue to identify as straight,” she said. “I’m looking for a male partner to spend my life with. I do want that traditional monogamous relationship, ultimately, but I don’t think [I’ve] really sowed my oats.”
While Meghan now knows more about what she’s looking for in her next relationship with a guy, she is very grateful to the aforementioned woman for giving her the space to grow.
“On New Year’s Day, I sent this woman a text message, and I said to her, ‘I just want to thank you for being, probably, the most inspirational relationship I have ever been in,’” Meghan shared. “I meant that to the core of my being, because being with her allowed me to have our interaction and to have her grace… was so empowering to me to live authentically. I cannot thank her enough for that.”
The RHOC alum can’t predict what will happen next in her love life, though she did say that she’s still talking to the woman, to the public figure who is a model and “so hot,” and to a friend who lives in Austin.
