Is Noella Bergener Still Friends with Nicole James?
The RHOC cast member reveals the status of their relationship after that emotional meeting earlier this season.
Earlier this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Noella Bergener tearfully opened up about her husband filing for divorce to her friend, Nicole James, who offered words of encouragement and hugs.
However, Noella expressed in an interview during the December 22 episode that she was disappointed that she didn't get the kind of support she was hoping for from Nicole during that meeting. "I think our views of friendship are very different. I need somebody who's going to wrap me up and say, 'I know. I have been there,'" Noella shared. "I need friends for the first time to really show up for me."
When Noella appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on January 5 (clip above), Andy Cohen read the OC Housewife a question from a fan who wanted to know how she now feels about that moment with Nicole and if the two are still friends today. "So I saw everything the viewers saw as well," Noella said, agreeing with the fan that it was "horrific." "I called it out in the moment. The thing though with Nicole is, we've had a heart-to-heart."
Noella shared more of her thoughts on Nicole in the above video, ultimately revealing that their friendship is still going strong. "She's a great girl, though," Noella said. "And I love her."
Noella and Nicole were practically destined to be friends, after all. While out to lunch with Heather Dubrow in the RHOC Season 16 premiere, Noella and Nicole shared that they had first met in the restroom at a private airport. "She was washing [her] hands already at the sink," Nicole recalled. "And we looked over, and we both had the exact same bracelets."
The women had been wearing "friendship bracelets before we even knew each other," according to Noella.
During a visit to Nicole's home later on in the episode, Noella gushed about how much their friendship means to her. "When I first met you, you stand out to everybody I've ever met in Orange County," Noella told Nicole. "The moment I met you, I could just be myself."
