A Charter Guest Tells Captain Glenn Shephard the Food Is "Disgusting"

Well done, everyone who had “stained yacht couch” on their bingo cards for 2022. After charter guest Cindi Rose’s self-tanner rubbed off on the Parsifal III’s white sofa during this season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht (clip above), a similar mishap took place on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesday, November 19 at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

In the June 22 episode of RHOBH, Erika Jayne was a little sleepy during the ladies’ afternoon aboard a yacht on their trip to Mexico. When Erika awoke and got ready to disembark the vessel, she realized some of her body makeup had transferred to the sofa while she was taking a nap. “Oh my god, I ruined this couch,” Erika said.

“Oh, s--t, how much is that gonna cost?” Garcelle Beauvais reacted, to which Erika replied, “I’ll pay for it.”

When the incident occurred on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Captain Glenn Shephard noted that the Parsifal III’s couch was “probably worth 50 grand,” and he had to approach Cindi about paying for the damage. “When a primary charters a boat, they’re responsible for any significant damage done to the boat,” Captain Glenn said in an interview during the episode. “Having that conversation before they leave, it’s never fun. It’s always a little bit awkward, but you have to do it.”

Though Cindi denied staining the couch, she did promise to “take care of it.”

“We’ll figure it out,” Captain Glenn told Cindi in response.

Captain Glenn and chief stew Daisy Kelliher were later able to remove most of the stain using a cleaning product and a carpet cleaner. And in March, months after the charter season was filmed, first mate Gary King showed off the sofa, seemingly in good condition, while appearing virtually on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen from aboard the Parsifal III (clip below).

While we don’t know the current state of the yacht couch from RHOBH, the moment did inspire Andy Cohen’s most recent “Watch What Happens 5.” At the end of the June 22 episode of WWHL, the host counted down the top 5 property damage moments on Bravo, which kicked off with none other than the aforementioned Below Deck Sailing Yacht incident. “Number 5 entry walked so Erika could run. It was that Below Deck charter guest who ruined a couch with her self-tanner,” Andy said. “Classic!”
