Reza Farahan Defends Telling Destiney Rose What Vida Said About Her at GG's Party
Mercedes "MJ" Javid's mom caused quite the stir at the Shahs of Sunset Season 9 party held to celebrate Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi's son, Elijah.
Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi's party for her son, Elijah, had it all. A party theme that pointed to her love for animals, a lot of leopard print outfits and costumes, and, of course, drama.
GG's friends gathered at the party, which took place during the June 13 episode of Shahs of Sunset, to celebrate her little one, and the bash was attended by those closest to her, as well as her extended inner circle, including Mercedes "MJ" Javid's mom, Vida. At the party, Vida spoke about fellow party guest Destiney Rose to Reza Farahan, commenting on Destiney's appearance. It was a moment after which MJ told her not to do that. Later on, Reza told Destiney about Vida's comments, which also didn't sit well with MJ.
Destiney addressed Vida's comments at the party, telling MJ's mom, "I'm content with my body."
The comments also sparked emotional confrontations for several of the Shahs, including Destiney and Reza. He later explained why he told Destiney about Vida's comments mid-party to fans on Twitter.
"[100 emoji] I’m going to tell my friend what someone is saying about her, good or bad. Don’t shoot the messenger," he tweeted. He added on Twitter, "Yes, and my friend would end up seeing it on TV and wonder why I didn’t say anything to her. I was doing what I would want a friend of mine to do."
Destiney also seemed to comment on the moment on Instagram. She posted a photo of herself from the party and captioned it, "PSA[:] HAPPY people ain’t hating AND hating people ain’t HAPPY. [LOVE YOURSELF]."
All the drama aside, the event really was about Elijah, as mama GG reminded everyone on Instagram by sharing a cute photo of the tot from his big day. She captioned the adorable pic, "The real Shah of Sunset. King Elijah."
