The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Marlo Hampton Finally Got a Peach (Sort of)
The RHOA friend addressed her time on the show with Wendy Williams.
Fans and cast members of The Real Housewives of Atlanta alike have long wondered why longtime friend Marlo Hampton has yet to hold a peach. But what does Marlo herself think about the matter?
Marlo finally addressed the topic during her appearance on The Wendy Williams Show on November 25. "I feel that I deserve a peach for you all," Marlo said, referring to the talk show's studio audience. "I want you all and my fans to really see my life and just really get to see who Marlo is because there's so much more than when you see me come on for two seconds to just stir up some drama."
However, Marlo said that she also feels blessed for the journey she's had on RHOA so far. "I just feel also, on the other hand, I'm good where I'm at," she noted. "I do feel that God puts you where he wants you to be at."
At the end of the interview, host Wendy Williams gave Marlo what she and many others have long been waiting for: an actual peach. Marlo seemed thrilled to be holding a peach in her hand and even got up out of her seat to flaunt it like the ladies do in the intro to every episode of RHOA.
Marlo's peach — or lack thereof — was a major topic of conversation at BravoCon earlier this month. Both Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey agreed that Marlo deserves to get a peach during the Peach Tea Sip and See panel at the Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom on Saturday, November 16. You can check out more from the panel, above.
The day before, RHOA producer Lorraine Haughton Lawson answered one fan's question about why Marlo doesn't have a peach during The Real Tea with Bravo Producers panel presented by Pure Leaf at BravoCon. "Marlo is a very important part of everything that we do. She is the one," she explained. "And you will never say never. She may get a peach one day. I think up until this time, it just hasn't been the right time, but that doesn't mean this time won't come."
Marlo doesn't need a peach to be a major part of the RHOA happenings anyway, according to Haughton Lawson. "And you should watch this season because she's a very big part of it. The conversation is always being had about Marlo, and it will continue to be had," she said. "She's always a part of the conversation."
